Resumen
El Señor predice un día venidero de juicio, promete sanidad para los justos, manda recordar la ley de Moisés y profetiza el regreso de Elías para volver los corazones antes de la venida del Señor.
Viene el día que arderá como un horno, y todos los soberbios y todos los que hacen maldad serán como rastrojo. Ese día que viene los consumirá, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos, y no les dejará ni raíz ni rama.
For behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Pero para ustedes que respetan mi nombre, el Hijo de Justicia se levantará con sanidad en sus alas, y saldrán y crecerán como becerros criados en el establo.
But unto you that fear my name, shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves in the stall.
Pisotearás a los malvados, porque serán como ceniza bajo las plantas de tus pies el día en que yo actúe, dice el Señor de los Ejércitos.
And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of Hosts.
Acuérdate de la ley de Moisés, mi siervo, la cual le mandé en Horeb para todo Israel, junto con los estatutos y juicios.
Remember ye the law of Moses, my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Yo te enviaré al profeta Elías antes de que venga el día grande y terrible del Señor.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord;
Él hará que el corazón de los padres se vuelva hacia sus hijos, y el corazón de los hijos hacia sus padres, para que yo no venga y hiera la tierra con una maldición.
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
