Resumen

El Señor promete misericordia y restauración a Su pueblo, asegurándoles protección, paz y rectitud, y que ninguna arma ni oposición prevalecerá contra ellos.

Entonces se cumplirá lo que está escrito: Canta, oh mujer estéril, tú que no diste a luz; rompe en cantos y grita de alegría, tú que no pasaste por dolores de parto, porque los hijos de la desamparada son más que los de la casada, dice el Señor.

And then shall that which is written come to pass: Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

Expande el espacio de tu tienda, y deja que extiendan las cortinas de tus habitaciones; no te detengas—alarga tus cuerdas y refuerza tus estacas.

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords and strengthen thy stakes;

Te extenderás a la derecha y a la izquierda, y tus descendientes heredarán a los gentiles y harán que las ciudades desiertas sean habitadas.

For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left, and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

No temas, porque no serás avergonzada; no te desanimes, porque no serás humillada. Olvidarás la vergüenza de tu juventud y no recordarás más la deshonra de tu viudez.

Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame; for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

Tu hacedor, tu esposo, el Señor de los Ejércitos es su nombre; y tu Redentor, el Santo de Israel—él será llamado el Dios de toda la tierra.

For thy maker, thy husband, the Lord of Hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel—the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

El Señor te ha llamado como a una mujer abandonada y afligida de espíritu, como a una esposa joven rechazada, dice tu Dios.

For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

Te he dejado por un corto tiempo, pero con gran misericordia te recogeré de nuevo.

For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Por un breve momento, en mi enojo, escondí mi rostro de ti, pero con misericordia eterna tendré compasión de ti, dice el Señor, tu Redentor.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

Esto es para mí como las aguas de Noé; así como juré que las aguas de Noé nunca más cubrirán la tierra, así he jurado que no me enojaré contigo.

For this, the waters of Noah unto me, for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee.

Aunque las montañas se aparten y las colinas desaparezcan, mi bondad no se apartará de ti, ni se romperá mi pacto de paz, dice el Señor que tiene misericordia de ti.

For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Tú, que estás afligido, sacudido por tormentas y sin consuelo, yo pondré tus piedras con hermosos colores y asentaré tus cimientos con zafiros.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted! Behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

Haré tus ventanas de ágata, tus puertas de carbunclo, y todos tus límites de piedras preciosas.

And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Todos tus hijos serán enseñados por el Señor, y tus hijos tendrán mucha paz.

And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Serás establecido en justicia; estarás lejos de la opresión porque no tendrás miedo, y lejos del terror porque no se acercará a ti.

In righteousness shalt thou be established; thou shalt be far from oppression for thou shalt not fear, and from terror for it shall not come near thee.

15

Sin duda se juntarán contra ti, pero no será por mí; cualquiera que se reúna contra ti caerá por tu causa.

Behold, they shall surely gather together against thee, not by me; whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Yo he creado al herrero que sopla las brasas en el fuego y fabrica una herramienta para su obra; y yo he creado al destructor para causar destrucción.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Ningún arma forjada contra ti prosperará, y condenarás toda lengua que se levante contra ti en juicio. Esta es la herencia de los siervos del Señor, y su justicia proviene de mí, dice el Señor.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall revile against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
